In 1998, three visionary founders - Abdul Matin Khan, Khan Md. Monir, and Rukaya Monir - came together with a shared dream of transforming lives and communities. Recognizing the deep challenges facing Bangladesh, particularly low literacy rates, widespread poverty, and limited access to healthcare and opportunities, they established the Khan Bahadur Kallyan Trust.
The founders understood that education is the backbone of a nation, yet saw how Bangladesh's education system was failing to address people's real needs. They witnessed countless individuals trapped in cycles of poverty, lacking access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Most concerning was the plight of destitute children, homeless families, and marginalized women who had little hope for a better future.
With an initial commitment of 250,000 Taka and unwavering determination, the founders created an independent, non-governmental organization focused on helping the helpless and serving humanity. Their vision extended beyond immediate relief to sustainable development that would empower communities to break free from poverty and build dignified, self-reliant lives.
